After more than 25 years of private practice I have learned that most couples can solve their own problems and build even stronger relationships when they have the right tools. 

I discovered that many couples (perhaps most) simply want better and more satisfying relationships.  They don’t require intense, in person, or long term couples therapy. Once they learn the basics skills of effective communication, empathy, and the ability to listen to and understand their partner ,they can achieve their desires for even more fulfilling intimacy .  They can build a relationship that is more peaceful and resolve many of the typical  ongoing conflicts most relationships have.

I have been teaching in one form or another for more than 50 years.  From my earliest experience teaching in a remote one room school— to teaching graduate level counseling courses—to instruction corporate sales people how to help their customers find creative uses for their products—it has always been an exciting and rewarding career.

Then, more than thirty years ago, when my wife and I took some introductory courses in therapeutic methods I knew that was the pathway I would follow for the rest of my life. The joy and satisfaction I found in the deeply moving experience of listening to people share the most intimate and personal details of themselves was a nearly sacred experience. What could be more rewarding than watching a couple resolve deeply troubling, sometimes heartbreaking problems in their relationship? Solving problems by relationship counseling and coaching is incredibly fulfilling.

Today, after providing the Pathways to Intimacy Course in the form of a” workbook” my patients for many years and seeing the difference it made in every aspect of their relationship (especially their intimate lives) I made the decision to introduce it to as many couples as possible. My son helped me to create an online course based and the proven principles of the workbook.

The course provides  specific relationship tools and fun and easy to follow activities. This is the same coaching guide that has already helped hundreds of couples who don’t need therapy—who  just want to be coached to achieve the relationship that is the best it can possibly be. I have repeatedly seen “good” relationships become “great” and “great “ relationships become “even better”. Most importantly, these relationships serve as lasting proof that the love couples feel for one another can, with determination and the right tools, create a lifetime of passion and security.
